ADOPTION PROCESS

If anything here is unclear we ask you to hold onto your deposit until you have a complete understanding of this!
Completing an application starts the process of acquiring a puppy from Majestic Merles of Maine, but it does not guarantee you will get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, we reserve the right to refuse any placement at any time.
APPROVAL, DEPOSIT AND AGREEMENT:
We will review applications within 2 business days of receipt. Applications are processed in the order they are received. If your home is a good fit, We will notify you and send a non-refundable reservation agreement for your review. Please sign and return to be added to a reservation list. We will begin accepting deposits when puppies are expected or actually available. The reservation list will be notified once the litter is confirmed and a payment link will be provided. If you make a deposit, you are committing to take a puppy from the litter, regardless of whether your gender/color preference is available.
YOUR PICK OF PUPPY:
Families will be scheduled to pickup/chose their puppy in the order deposits were received. Puppy profiles will be available on their litter announcement page so you can get to know a little about each baby before pickup day.
CONTRACT:
We have a contract and will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason it's a bit lengthy. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up a puppy.
GUARDIAN ADOPTION
$1500
Our Guardian dogs are carefully selected, breeding prospects. Guardian families are entrusted to raise these dogs to our standards as future parents of our program. Click HERE for more.
STANDARD ADOPTION
$2500
A standard adoption is for families seeking a quality pet. These dogs come with a limited AKC registration, microchip, first vaccines and a one year health guarantee. Spay/neuter is required at maturity.
FULL REGISTRATION ADOPTION
$3500
Those seeking a dog for their own breeding program will be looking for full registration. These babies are required to carry our kennel name as prefix and are DNA tested for cryptic merle.

At Majestic Merles of Maine, we continue to care about our animals long after they leave us. As such, it’s our strict policy to only sell to individuals; we will never sell to pet shops or brokers. To make sure our animals get the forever home they deserve, we carefully interview all potential owners.
We understand situations can change unexpectedly forcing families to face a difficult decision of rehoming their pets. Therefore, ALL dogs born to our kennel will always have a home here if necessary.
