OUR STORY

We are a family of five blessed with the opportunity to walk this life with the loyalty and companionship of our danes. First is my teenage daughter Kia, the dreamer, the wolf and the reason for breeding. Then there is my tween daughter Ari, owner of our young Raven. And then we have my young man Izea, who offers lots of love and snuggles to our four legged babies. Also, myself, “the mom” and my other half, dad or “the contractor”. 

Growing up I had three great danes, Nila, Maggie and Diesel. Nila was a brindle and Diesel was fawn. Maggie was a fully deaf white product of improper breeding. Sadly, she was hit by a car after slipping out the door past my younger brother. He was three and I was twelve. Like all danes, she just wanted to run… 

When my daughter first came to me in 2017 and said, “I want to breed great danes”. I told her she was crazier than I am. We did not have the time nor the financial resources to provide for raising danes at that time, but she would not relent. I asked her to prepare a business plan for me as if I were the bank. At twelve years old, she drafted the business plan that has evolved into Majestic Merles today.
